About Us

Chastain & Company was founded in 2021 by Blaire Chastain, a mother of four and the firm’s principal designer and general contractor. Growing up in the construction industry as the daughter of a homebuilder in Charlotte, NC, Blaire developed an early appreciation for both design and craftsmanship. She earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Alabama in 2015, then went on to gain experience with a residential design firm in New York City and a commercial design firm in Denver, CO.

After returning to Charlotte to start her family, Blaire transitioned into commercial interiors and spent four years working as an independent contractor before founding Chastain & Company. Her background in both design and construction gives her a unique perspective on the entire process, allowing her to approach each project with a creative eye and a practical understanding of what it takes to bring a space to life.

Today, Chastain & Company specializes in commercial upfits, including office design, fitness and restaurant renovations, retail build-outs, and more. Blaire has extensive experience working on both new construction and adaptive reuse projects, with a hands-on approach from concept through completion. She works closely with each client to understand their vision, thoughtfully develop the design, and oversee the details that turn an idea into a finished space.
